As a general rule your passports should be valid at least 6 months AFTER your return from Europe, although different airlines and countries may have different rules
The name used to book your travel must match what is on your passport EXACTLY. Differences may result in costs to update, loss of booked components, and denied flight boarding and hotel checkin

The holy year of Jubilee is celebrated every 25 years by the Catholic Church
Vatican City, Rome, and Italy are preparing for this coming year of Jubilee, which will begin Christmas 2024 and end in early January 2026.
You can find information on the current status of renovations and projects in Rome on the Roma Si Trasforma website
Tours of the Vatican are expected to sell out, and even those with tickets may find their tours cancelled due to Vatican events throughout the year. If seeing the Vatican, the museums, and the Sistine Chapel is a high priority for you, let’s discuss your options.
Italy is expecting an additional 30 million + additional tourists in 2025 on top of the normal amount
What this means for your travel plans
Book early to secure your travel components before they sell out
Plan to see large crowds, especially in major cities and at major religious sites
Expect things to move a bit slower than you’d anticipate as you’re traveling through Italy, as Italians work to welcome and care for millions of people visiting their country
2025 is the next Year of Jubilee
jubilee
Ensure your passport is valid at least 6 months after your return date
Book your airfare with the EXACT name that is on your passport
Book using a major, reputable airline - avoid third party booking engines
Book directly on the airline’s website
Prioritize nonstop flights, or one layover maximum
Remember that due to flight duration and time change, you will arrive in Italy the day after you depart from the US
Plan to sleep on your flight from the US to Italy so you wake up rested and are more likely to avoid jet lag
If necessary, invest in upgraded seats, noise cancelling headphones, and anything else that will assist you in falling asleep and staying asleep on your flight to Italy
If you check luggage, invest in apple airtags or a similar GPS tracker to locate your luggage in case it gets lost
If you check luggage, be aware that you will need to recheck it when you go through customs (for example, flying from ORD Chicago to CDG Paris, and from CDG Paris to FCO Rome, you will need to recheck your luggage in Paris)
Consider investing in Global Entry to utilize expedited customs lines upon your return to the US
Recommendations For Booking Your Flights

getting there
Getting to the Venue
Navigate to:
Fossanova, Italy
Via San Tommaso d'Aquino, 1, 04015 Priverno LT, Italy
Option 1: (highly recommended)
Meet your private prearranged driver in the arrivals hall. They’ll escort you to your vehicle, load your luggage, and drive you directly to Fossanova to check in to your accommodations - about an hour and half drive depending on traffic
Option 2: (recommended for those comfortable driving in Italy)
Pick up your prearranged rental car from FCO airport and drive to the venue. I recommend opting for the insurance that covers you to walk away in case of any problems for peace of mind
Be sure to either rent the GPS or set up your cell phone for international service!
Option 3 (most cost effective, most time and energy intensive):
Take the Leonardo Express direct train from Rome airport to Rome Termini train station, and from there take the regional train to Priverno-Fossanova Train Station
You’ll need to arrange transport from Priverno-Fossanova Train Station to Fossanova, about 5 miles drive away
